    1. 1943 was the middle of Ww2 and China was a dependable ally of the USA against Japan.
      Similar events occurred across the USA in support of our allies.
      Madison Square Garden in New York played host to a pageant of culture and history dedicated to the captive and enslaved nations of Germany and Japan. -Rj
