ReplyDeleteI happen to have JUST the thing.
ReplyDeleteApart from the "note de rouge" supplied by the strategically placed draperies these portraits (well, all but the Etty) have one other thing in common and that is an appreciation of the mature physique. Or if not appreciation, then at least not distaste. In other words, Bruce Weber wouldn't have photographed any one of these guys for Calvin Klein or Abercrombie & Fitch.
