A scene from Touha, a film by Vojtěch Jasný, 1958

These are four stills from a film I've never seen, a film made by a director I'd never heard of. Touha (Desire) is a Czech anthology from 1958, directed by Vojtěch Jasný. Entered into the 1959 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or, the film consists of four stories: About a Boy Who Searched for the End of the World; People on Earth and Stars in the Skies; Anděla; and Mum. I find these images fascinating... I guess I really ought to see the film.
