It's finally happening! We announced this book as "forthcoming" three long years ago and, now, after several complications and much delay - I suppose the latter is rather obvious - our book The Untold Gaze is actually being published this summer. We received a generous grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) that will cover about half of the printing cost, and we're crowdfunding to gain the other half. The Untold Gaze features more than seventy of my paintings, combined with works of short fiction (and a few poems) written by more than thirty authors, each piece inspired by a particular painting. An introductory essay has been written by Bob Hicks, longtime arts writer and editor for The Oregonian and The Oregon Journal, and now a senior editor at Oregon ArtsWatch. The Untold Gaze will be an 11x11, full-color hardback, approximately 175 pages, planned print run of 600-700 copies. The book is being privately distributed; currently, it is not expected that the book will be available in bookstores.
