Two artists, one model, one pose

Christen Købke, Male Model, 1833.
Constantin Hansen, Male Model Sitting on a Box, 1833.

It's interesting to compare these two figures studies, painted at the same time, by two artists sitting very close to each other.  It's even more interesting when you consider that the two artists were Christen Købke and Constantin Hansen, and that they were painting this model in the studio of Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg.  With those three names you have three of the most important figures of the Golden Age of Danish Painting.

Christen Schiellerup Købke (May 26, 1810, Copenhagen – February 7, 1848, Copenhagen).
Carl Christian Constantin Hansen (November 3, 1804, Rome – March 29, 1880, Copenhagen).
Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, see here.
