ReplyDeleteI truly loved many of the Levitan landscapes that you posted earlier. Impressionistic yes, but his colours, light and shade were beautifully naturalistic.
ReplyDeleteNot with snowy scenes, however. Colour, light and shade didn't disappear but the energy of his landscapes weakened.
