Ginger's gown - Ginger Rogers in fashion portraits from "Shall We Dance" and "Carefree"

Shall We Dance, 1937 - as Linda Keene - costumes by Irene.

These three images are of a stage performance by Miss Keene. Mainly seen through Astaire's flip-book.
In the film she also wears a small hat with a short veil.

Carefree, 1938 - as Amanda Cooper - costumes by Howard Greer.

Costume for dream sequence. (I figured the oversized mushrooms needed a little context.)
In the film she wears a fabulous snood with this gown. (I miss the snood!)
