Alan Turing

Alan Mathison Turing, (June 23, 1912 – June 7, 1954), was an important English mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist.  Turing is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence.  He was also, famously, a prosecuted homosexual.
