John Howard Payne (23 May 1912, Roanoke – 6 December 1989, Malibu), American film actor best remembered for his appearances in Film Noir crime stories, 20th-Century Fox musicals, and for his leading role in Miracle on 34th Street. Born into a well-to-do family, he attended prep school and, after that, Roanoke College before... hey, you're not even paying attention...! OK, never mind.... Enjoy the pictures!
