The Artist's Studio in Dresden, by Johann Gottfried Jentzsch, circa 1820

I love the spare but elegant room - that doesn't look at all well situated for art making - and the hat on the chair, at left.  And, of course, the wonderful patterning of light created by the lamp's shade.

Johann Gottfried Jentzsch (5 October 1759, Hinterjessen bei Pirna – 16 February 1826, Dresden), German artist.  (I couldn't find any other data for this artist.)
