Ernest Cadine (12 July 1893, Seine-Saint-Denis – 28 May 1978, Paris), French weightlifter who won a gold medal at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. Trained as a mechanic, as a teenager he participated in gymnastics, wrestling, weightlifting, and swimming. He finished third in the national middleweight weightlifting championships prior to World War I; during the war he served with an artillery regiment. In 1920 he won the light-heavyweight gold medals at both the national championships and the Olympic games, but did not compete internationally afterwards. From 1920 to 1925 he set six world records and turned professional as an exhibition weightlifter. In 1978, he received France's Ordre national du Mérite. He died that same year at the age of eighty-four.
